Updates... very very late!

Phew! Good thing GOOGLE haven't shut this blog down yet... It's been a while.. Long time no blogging.. whenever I can access the internet kasi, I usually access my FACEBOOK account.. so it's much updated. I'm sorry BLOG, if I neglected and took you for granted...but here I am repenting... :)

Anyways, many GREAT GREAT things are happening in the BODY of CHRIST here in Tondo, specially in our ABLAZE Ministry..

As I type this BLOG, we are in a season of CONQUEST...



CONQUEST is also known as BLESS the CITY Movement.

It's a time when the church will rise up to the challenge and command of JESUS to GO and MAKE DISCIPLES...

We started it with a 24/7 Prayer Chain...
Many YOUNG PEOPLE participated in this call for CONSECRATION....

Men, I'm just amazed with their FAITH at a young age!

GREAT HARVEST is the main focus of our prayers...






Then, WEEK OF FIRE, which I consider as a DEFINING MOMENT of my ministerial life.





WOW! Greater things are yet to come in PCF Family and ABLAZE!

Summer Activities

Whoa.. I've been very busy lately so I was not able to update the blog. Now is the time to catch-up.

God has blessed Youth Ablaze indeed!

We took advantage of Summer Vacation and conducted some activities for the young people..

These activities are designed to engage the youth in fun activities that will help them discover God and the Love of Jesus more.

Here are some of the activities that we had..

YOUTH ABLAZE SHOWTIME WORKSHOP

Our way of empowering the young people of Tondo for them to reach the plans that God has in store for them.

Voice, Musical Instruments, Dance, Theater and Arts and Tech-Support Workshops all for FREE!

Then come July, we will have a TALENT'S NIGHT where they will showcase what they've learn from the workshop.

Me and the Youth Leaders..We always find time to chill and relax..and because it's so hoooooot this summer..Our relaxation sessions are mostly dipping in the pool.




God is really working in the lives of the young people here in Tondo..
God is using Youth Ablaze to reach out the youth towards JESUS.
I just thank Him for a HAPPY FULL-PACKED and FUN HOT SUMMER!

Why Struggle?

Hiyee!..my name is Calvin Cuevas...I am the man behind this blog.. The Struggling Youth Pastor.

Just a little background..I am currently the "Struggling" Youth Pastor of Praise Christian Fellowship in Tondo..one of the nicest and coolest place on earth...

Our ministry is called "Youth Ablaze"..which basically means..young people on fire for God..we want to see them Ablaze for Him!

Now...maybe you're asking..or maybe not..why am I struggling???

Am I just pessimistic or am I just exaggerating..

well the truth is..

I called this blog the "Struggling Youth Pastor" simply because I am a struggling one.

I mean..life is a continuous struggle right? now..how much more if you are living a Youth Pastor's life?

Preparing sermons...Casting Visions..Making Decisions...Wrestling with Temptation...Should I eat this mamon?..etc..

I am not exaggerating but the truth is..the journey of a youth pastor's life is not a walk in the park..

It really is a STRUGGLE...Sometimes it's a WRESTLE..Many time it's like WAR..

But it's very cool and very fulfilling...and I can say way way way bigger than I am..

which is good..

Honestly, I won't trade it for anything in this world.

So welcome to my journey..A STRUGGLING one..but my hope is this..

My God's grace is always enough..His mercy will be my strength me throughout this journey..

Romans 15:30 says...

I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.
